Extension officer

Duty stations :

Jenin , Nablus, Qalqilia ,Tulkarem , Ramallah and Jerusalem districts



The extension officer will be responsible for carrying extension and capacity building activities in the field, mainly working with project beneficiaries (individual farmers and farmer’s cooperatives)in addition to  technical training, supervision and follow-up of beneficiaries during all project implementing stages.

The extension officer will work under the direct supervision of Project Manager, and the branch manager of his area, (North and Middle parts of the West Bank), he also must have a continuous contact and communication with extension officers in all project areas and all other project team members, in addition to any representative of partner organizations in the area.


Main Duties & Responsibilities

Extension officers will perform the following duties

·         Supervise the  process of beneficiaries selection and evaluation

·         Carry out the need assessment for selected farms throughout field visits 

·         Preparation of required reporting about farms needs

·         Design and prepare all required forms for all project implementation stages

·         Carry out the required farmer training about standards and requirements and other different related issues; train the farmers how to fill required forms needed for certification

·         Follow up field work and extension services  through continuous organized field visits

·         Carry out practical demonstrations and field days in targeted areas.

·         Supervising farmers and agronomists in terms of providing phone information’s

·         Follow up the results of different lab analysis (soil, water , plant .etc)

·         To coordinate the activities with different project partners and other related organizations

·         Submit periodical reports about the activities progress

·         Performs other tasks as may be assigned by the project manager related to the day-to-day operations of the Projects.



  • Related academic background (a minimum of BA in agriculture –specifically in plant production or plant protection) with strong and proven technical and practical experience in olive and olive oil production.
  • Good practical work experience with rural community sectors (individual farmers and community-based organizations).
  •  Having a good knowledge with environmental friendly agricultural techniques and sustainable agriculture (Organic farming and IPM).
  •  Having the ability to travel within the project area.
  •  Having Good computer skills (MS Office software , Internet and e-mail)
  • Having the ability to provide good-quality written and oral reports in English and Arabic.












Administrative assistant

No of positions required :    2

Duty station : Ramallah


Duties & Responsibilities


1)       To establish and maintain co-ordination and communication within all AAA/PARC technical staff in West Bank and Gaza strip involved in the above-mentioned felids.

2)       To prepare and establish  a  mode of communication for Information flow ,feed back ,reports MIS for the projects implemented  (e.g. face-to-face periodical  meetings, teleconference calls, field visits ,presentations for delegations ,monitoring of AAA/PARC  applied  demonstrations stations etc.) information to AAA/PARC  regional staff members.       

3)       To help the major members in the AAA/PARC staff meetings; with the main purpose to facilitate the flow of information from the field to the management and fund ores and vice versa.

4)       To prepare the agenda & minutes of AAA/PARC meetings (following a standard format), to distribute promptly to all members and to forward them to the Management.

5)       To establish a data base for all correspondence related to the organization of AAA/PARC meetings and field activities.

6)       To follow up as appropriate on all decisions taken by the management of AAA/PARC.

7)       Provide translation services (Arabic – English – Arabic) to the projects documents, meetings and events.

8)       Assist the Projects Coordinators and the administrative  office in Ramallah with all day to day administrative, secretarial, bookkeeping, personnel and office management tasks

9)       Drafts, types and sends correspondence, including memoranda and email.

10)    Receives messages and processes correspondence, and sets appointments for meetings.

11)    Receives visitors and provides timely information to queries.

12)  Maintains general office files in an orderly manner, and keeps information and reference materials that are easily accessed and retrieved.



·         University degree preferably with special training on office management

·         At least three years experience in working in similar position in an NGO/private sector company

·         Proven proficiency in English , Knowledge of French and Italian is an advantage

·         Proven skills in office management including computer skills with e-mail use and Microsoft Office products (Word ,Excel spreadsheets)

·        Personal characteristics: Hardworking and takes initiative, open and willing to learn new things, efficient and systematic, honest, personable and has a good sense of humour. Knowledge of conditions, resources and contacts in Palestine.

Key Responsibilities


The Accountant reports directly to the organization manager. Responsibilities include:


1.   Work with the Executive Director regarding status of all aspects of Foundation finances including investments, cash flow projections, and Foundation fund balances. Assist Executive Director with annual budget preparation, development of program budgets, and production of a 3 year budget.

2.      Provide staff assistance to Finance Committee, including preparation of accurate and timely monthly statements for the Finance Committee and the Board of Directors.

3.        Maintain payroll records.

4.        Maintain financial accounting system.

5.    Manage and assist with annual audit ensuring accuracy of all information needed by auditor and reconciliation of accounts.

6.   Assist Executive Director in monitoring and overseeing a cash management system.

7.        Ensure timeliness of work and accounting functions.

8.      Provide assistance and oversight at scheduled weekend and evening fundraising events.

9.        Track balances in cash and investment accounts.

10.   Provide support to Board members and volunteers with responsibility for budget items.

11.     Track and insure compliance of all grant and contract budgets.

12. Maintain files on receipts, checks, back-up documentation and invoices.

13.     Review account coding of accounts payable for General Ledger input, based on Foundation budgets and statements.

14.     Assist with various computer related issues, including daily and monthly backup, program installation, problem diagnosis and repair.



·         Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting degree and three-five years of experience in non-profit accounting.

·         Knowledge of accounting systems.

·         Advanced computer skills, including familiarity with personal computer hardware and networked systems.

·         Experience in budgeting, including integration of program budgets.

·         Ability to work well with co-workers and volunteers and visitors.

·         Highly energetic and self-motivated; ability to work as an individual or as a team member

·         Ability to adapt successfully to multiple tasks that occur in a rapidly changing environment

·         The ability to learn by doing (you will get a change to touch everything financial in the company).

Marketing specialist

No of positions required : 1

 Duty Station: Ramallah with continuous travelling to all project locations

 Key Responsibilities


1.     Designing integrated marketing plan for the introduction of the product in local and international markets

2.     Facilitating of production exchange internally through the existed marketing channels

3.     Conducting of reliable and comprehensive assessment surveys for the needs of local and international markets to assist the establishment of efficient marketing plans.

4.       Provide all required information’s and directions regarding regarding the demand of markets  in terms of products type and  quality , packing requirements and proposed marketing locations

5.       Carrying out comprehensive promotional programs through integrated promotional campaigns  which will target local and international markets and will include different promotional means (Media ,newspapers , printed materials and publications,  local events , public workshops and awareness lectures )

6.      Address customer service issues as they arise and communicate this information to the project manager

7.     Provide the required Coordination  with related parties to facilitate the admission of the produccts 


Qualification required :


  1. Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in marketing  with at least 5 years of proven related experience in local and international marketing campaigns preferably in olive and olive oil marketing .
  2. Knowledge of direct marketing solicitation techniques including direct mail and telemarketing
  3. Program and project management skills
  4. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic , French and Italian languages in an advantage
  5. Strong interpersonal skills
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt and respond to various situations
  7. Ability to work with team and independently in addition to work under pressure
  8. Good computer skills including a good knowledge of relational databases and  software’s
  9. Having a valid driving license , having a personal car is an advantage
